| Black Map, the Northern California trio with members of Far, Dredg and The Trophy Fire, have released a video for “And We Explode, Pt. 1” (http://youtu.be/yxEmNBv4vx0). The live clip, which was shot during the band’s performance in Hamburg, Germany while on tour with Chevelle, arrives as Black Map announce their participation in two German festivals this May, Grüne Hölle Rock (www.der-ring.de) and Rockavaria (www.rockavaria.de). The band will play three U.S. dates this month: Feb. 20 San Jose, CA Back Bar Feb. 27 Seattle, WA El Corazon Feb. 28 Portland, OR Kelly’s Olympian Black Map released their debut album, … And We Explode, late last year via Minus Head Records. The vinyl release of the twelve-song album arrives this Spring. Revolver said the record sounds like “Deftones getting quiet and driving along the California coast, with Taking Back Sunday riding shotgun” while Punk News said the band’s music features “crunchy riffs” and pays “homage to the band’s ‘90’s pedigree.” |
