Crystal Fairy, the recently announced outfit featuring Le Butcherettes’ Teri Gender Bender, the Melvins’ Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover with At The Drive-In’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, premiere the title track from their self-titled debut album, Crystal Fairy on Feb. 24 with Ipecac Recordings. Check out the song here:
The song aired late Friday in the UK via Henry Rollins as he filled in for Iggy Pop on the BBC 6 Music show.
“Panic attacks are man’s worst enemy but our most powerful mental invention, somehow we’ve managed to use them to calm our nerves down and let the music flow,” says Gender Bender of the song. “Sometimes the agony within the self makes it appropriate to let the jittery hands do the story telling.”
The band previously shared a pair of songs from the hotly anticipated debut, “Chiseler” and “Drugs On the Bus”. The songs, along with “Crystal Fairy” are available as instant downloads with pre-orders of the album from Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, and Apple Music. Physical bundles are available via Ipecac’s webstore.
