It was just over a month ago when the world was shocked and saddened by the passing of Dave Brockie AKA Oderus Urungus. One publication that has been supportive of GWAR for quite some time is Decibel Magazine. Dave and Oderus both contributed articles to the magazine, all of which were quite memorable.
After hearing the news Decibel Editor in Chief Albert Mudrian decided to dedicate an issue to Dave. The special piece features essays from friends, and GWAR family. These include special pieces from Randy Blythe (Lamb of God), Mike Bishop (Original Beefcake), Members of Ghoul, Chris Bopst (Original Jaws of Death), Jon Freeman (Publicist) and Decibel scribe J. Bennett.
Mudrian commented on the issue: “I’ve never felt this strongly about a Decibel cover story before. I hope it helps illustrate how irreplaceable a figure Dave Brockie is in the metal world and beyond.”
