Failure’s highly anticipated album, The Heart Is A Monster (June 30, INresidence), is streaming now via Entertainment Weekly (http://www.ew.com/article/2015/06/18/stream-failure-the-heart-is-a-monster). A video for the album’s first single, “Hot Traveler,” debuted last week (https://youtu.be/V6HL0BD4MN0).
Alternative Press said the new album “is not only a stark reminder of why the band have been so influential but it also underscores their status as modern trailblazers.” Rolling Stone described The Heart Is A Monster as “a sprawling, 18 track voyage that… brilliantly picks up from where Fantastic Planet left off” and Kerrang echoes that sentiment, also declaring the 18-track release “a brilliant record” and adding “it’s also a victory they’ve fought hard for.”
The band kicks off a lengthy summer tour with a June 30 in-store at Amoeba Hollywood, other stops include Milwaukee’s Summerfest and ant the Ottawa Bluesfest. The band joins Hum for a handful of co-headlining dates in mid-August.
Pre-orders for The Heart Is A Monster are available now via iTunes and include a pair of instant downloads: “Hot Traveler” and “Mulholland Dr.” (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-heart-is-a-monster/id989008661).
