It’s a sad day in the world of rock and metal as the legendary Canadian rock band Rush has announced the passing of their drummer Neil Peart at the age of 67.
According to the following tweet from Rush, Neil has passed as a result of brain cancer.
Neil Peart’s influence on modern drumming in all aspects of heavy music can never be understated and his name will forever be synonymous with the title of “legend.”
I send my deepest condolences to Neil’s band mates, family, friends, and fans at this time. He may no longer be with us physically but he will live with us forever through the music.
