Brooklyn Vegan said the new album is “a big step for a band who now sound comfortable plotting their own path” while Echoes and Dust echoed that sentiment, calling the nine-track release “a huge step up” for the band, going on to say “the retro vibe on offer is reminiscent of Baroness bludgeoning High on Fire into submission down a dark back alley.”
