truth®, the most successful and one of the largest national youth smoking prevention campaigns, will be returning to the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL this summer! The truth tour experience typically includes a signature orange truth truck, a DJ spinning heavy metal music, and a crew of dynamic tour riders that provide facts and information about the harmful effects of tobacco use – all in an effort to prevent teens and young adults from ever using tobacco products. Contests, giveaways and one-on-one conversations take place in the zone each and every day of tour.


“To actually become the generation that ends smoking, we need to focus on the 8% AND the 92%. We’ve done some amazing work with the #FinishIT campaign, but the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL is a home base for our audience,” said Eddie Contreras, truth tour manager. “It’s important for our team to spend their summer at Mayhem raging with some of the 8 percent and showing them that you can still have an edge while repping a message about public health. It’s a hard job, but it’s a necessary job and I’m proud to be a part of.”




Victory Records returns for their second year as a sponsor this summer, featuring the official Victory Records Stage! In addition to their stage sponsorship, everyone who stops by the Victory Booth receives a free CD sampler, catalog and a bag to carry their swag throughout the day. In addition to hosting band signings and meet and greets for all of the Victory bands on the tour,  they will have a daily contest to win up to $100 to the Victory Webstore, plus a chance at end of tour grand prizes, including a signed ESP guitar and an iPod loaded with the entire Victory catalog. They will also have a charging station under the tent and a flat screen TV with their latest rock and metal videos on rotation. Since 1982, returning sponsor Metal Blade Records has worked to sign and cultivate a roster of some of heavy music’s finest artists. Return sponsor Metal Injection started with the festival in its inaugural year. With its first lineup, it was clear to Metal Injection that the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL was going to be a mainstay in the summer touring market, and as an emerging metal destination online, they wanted to get in on the ground level of a huge festival. Metal Injection does an annual ticket giveaway to each stop of the tour, and it is always their biggest response to a contest of the year. Last year, Metal Injection had over 2000 submissions and this year, with only about two weeks in, they have already cracked 1,000 submissions which, is ahead of schedule. In addition, the site will be doing a video preview episode of our bi-weekly music video show, The Fix, highlighting all the acts on the tour to get Mayhem-goers familiar with the acts they will see at the show. Featuring 13 bands performing on the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE and the VICTORY RECORDS STAGE, the festival will feature five-time-nominated, two-time Grammy winning legends Slayer as headliners, as well as additional performances from King Diamond, HELLYEAH, The Devil Wears Prada, Whitechapel, Thy Art Is Murder, Jungle Rot, Sister Sin, Sworn In, Shattered Sun, Feed Her To The Sharks, Code Orange and Kissing Candice.
